West Bay Flyers Club

Welcome to the West Bay Fyers Club!

Our objective, at Carl A Gross Airport, is to provide flying instruction, aircraft rental, and quality maintenance that promotes aviation fellowship and education.

This club differs from most FBOs and formal flight schools in that it relies heavily on mutual goodwill between management and members. All aircraft owners are aviation enthusiasts and dialogue between members and owners are both welcomed and encouraged.

We hope you will join us!

How It Works
  • Members become a non-voting “associate member” with a one-time fully-refundable $100 equity share of a club airplane and agree to the operating rules of the West Bay Flyers Club, LLC.
  • Each associate member pay a monthly membership fee of $45 per month which comes with 1 hour of flying time.
  • A trail-dragger endorsement is required. A block of 10 hours flying time is usually sufficient to get an endorsement.
  • If flying time is purchased in 10-hour time blocks with the 11th hour free. Time blocks must be used within 10 months of purchase.
  • Each associate member is responsible for paying for their own fuel.
  • Check-ride by a club instructor in aircraft to be operated by the associate member and comply with insurance requirements.
  • Be actively flying for at least 6 consecutive months per calendar year.
